International orders are subject to customs and occasionally import duties (dependent on the value of the goods) which could delay the delivery of your item. Inspection of international mail is a standard part of the process of receiving mail from overseas, and generally the parcel continues on its delivery journey smoothly. However, additional duties can sometimes be charged. In this instance additional charges must be paid for by the customer.
For standard and international shipping, we use Sendle, Australia’s first 100% carbon neutral delivery service and technology B Corp. Domestic PO Box and Parcel Locker/Collect addresses are sent via Australia Post. For all shipping services a tracking number will be provided via email once your parcel has left The Social Studio. We advise that you use a secure delivery address. The Social Studio is unable to take responsibility for stolen parcels.
Taxes and duties are calculated according to your shipping destination and itemised on the Order Summary page.

Exchanges & Returns
The Social Studio store is happy to offer customer exchanges or returns for items purchased online and in-store.
If you do happen to change your mind, you can return your items to us under the following conditions:
The item/s must be unworn, unwashed, unused, in original condition with all labels and tags attached.
Customers within Australia can return their purchase within 14 days of purchasing in store or 14 days from delivery for online orders
International customers can return their purchase within 21 days from delivery.
Please note that we do not accept returns for fragrances, underwear, swimwear, or jewellery.
Whether you purchase in-store or online the same policy applies:
Full priced items can be returned for an exchange, gift voucher or full refund (excluding shipping costs).
Sale or discounted items can be returned for an exchange or gift voucher, depending on circumstance.

RECEIVING A REFUND
You can choose to receive your refund either as store credit or back to the original payment method. Please note, sale or discounted items can be returned for an exchange or gift voucher. No refunds will be issued on sale items for incorrect choice or change of mind – please choose carefully!
Australian taxes will be refunded. For international orders, customs duties and sales taxes are non-refundable through The Social Studio. However, you may be able to recover these by contacting your local customs bureau.
Please note that refunds can take up to 10 working days to show on your account due to various processing times between payment providers.
All items must be returned new, unused and with all The Social Studio and designer tags attached within 14 (Australia) and 21 (international) days of receipt.
Returns that do not meet our policy will not be accepted and will be sent back to you
Late returns
Your item(s) should be back to us within 14 days (Australia) and 21 days (international) of receipt. Returns outside this timeframe may be accepted at the discretion of The Social Studio and may only be refunded as a store credit.
Faulty goods
Goods are classified as faulty if they are not of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose or as described. Please note that items which are damaged as a result of normal wear and tear; by accident; or through misuse will not be considered faulty.
If your item is faulty when you receive it, you can return it for a refund within 14 days (Australia) and 21 days (international) of receipt. If you have owned your item for longer than this, please contact customer care.
Colours
We have made every effort to display the colours of all products that appear on The Social Studio as accurately as possible. However, as computer monitors, tablets and mobile devices vary, we cannot guarantee that your monitor's display of a colour will be completely accurate.
Final sale
During our sale, products marked as 'FINAL SALE' cannot be returned or exchanged.
Payments
The Social Studio uses Shopify to process payments from our Site. We also offer Paypal, Google Pay and Apple Pay. For a full list of cards accepted by Shopify, Paypal, Google Pay and Apple Pay please consult their websites.
For security reasons, the billing name and address must match that of the credit or debit card used for payment. The Social Studio reserves the right to cancel any order that does not match these criteria.
Shopify platform and network are PCI compliant.
How to shop
Sizing varies considerably amongst the designers we stock. So to help you choose the best size, feel free to get in touch – simply email retail@thesocialstudio.org for advice.
We care about the planet at The Social Studio and only use recycled and compostable packaging and labels, and limit packaging to what is essential to get your items to you safe and sound. Our compostable bags are reusable, so keep them in case of returns.
Wherever possible we preference digital over printed communication. You will receive a digital copy of your receipt for your purchase, and any other communication required.
Looking for the perfect, socially conscious gift? You can purchase a gift order through our site. You can include a personalised note by selecting the gift option on the packaging page.
At The Social Studio, you’ll find our own socially conscious label stocked alongside like-minded designers making a difference through ethical fashion. Woven with social purpose in every fibre, our label is created 100% in-house by our design and production teams – with everything handcrafted to a high quality with a low environmental footprint, using upcycled materials that would otherwise be headed for landfill in limited edition runs. HOW TO REDEEM A GIFT CARD
Gift cards can be redeemed to the value of the gift card by entering its unique code at checkout. This code isn't case sensitive. A gift card holds a balance, which can be spent over more than one order.
When redeeming a gift card, the checkout displays one of the following options:
If the balance available on the gift card is greater than or equal to the order total, then click 'complete order'
If the balance available on the gift card is less than the order total, then choose a second payment method for the balance before placing the order
RETURNS
Gift cards cannot be returned or exchanged for a refund. All returned items that were paid for with a gift card will be refunded as a store credit for use against a future purchase.
If you return an item paid by both gift card and credit card, you will be refunded on your credit card up to the amount of your initial card payment and the remaining amount will be refunded as store credit.
