Chamani Weerasekara - the designer behind her eponymous label CHAMANI, is one of Brisbane’s most exciting and promising emerging designers, focusing on conscious luxury that is committed to a greater purpose.

Established in 2021, CHAMANI is more than just a brand but a movement - a wearable activism brand that fights for freedom, equality and opportunity for marginalised women, girls and communities, through timeless, wearable art pieces. It exists to create IMPACT, using fashion as a force for good and a vehicle for change through a unique value-chain that gives back at every stage of production and beyond.

CHAMANI pieces are inspired by the colours of nature and honours the elements, with every detail thoughtfully curated and sourced with people and planet in mind. Collections feature sustainably sourced, custom fabrics such as Ikat – hand-dyed and hand-woven textiles that are slow-made by talented artisans over weeks to months, using ancient techniques passed down through generations.

Each piece is a dedication to women, with timeless, versatile “forever pieces” that celebrate and honour the ever-evolving feminine silhouette. Made locally in Australia, each CHAMANI style is named after one of the women at her partner charities.
