We're excited to introduce you to our newest baby:
Cross-Stitch by The Social Studio! Join us as we embark on a 12-month
exploration of craft and hand making skills with artists and communities across Melbourne, unearthing hidden talents and sharing knowledge across traditional and contemporary craft forms in a series of free workshops, culminating in a group show in July 2023.

The first of these exchanges will be led by Muslim Indo-Fijian artist @zaiba.khan, who will guide participants through her process of making a mala, or garland (see slide 2), which Zaiba uses in her art practice as a mode for working through grief, as a symbol of celebration, or as a way to think through an idea physically. Zaiba will document the pieces made on the day for participants and will also tour them through her beautiful exhibition, Angna Mein, at our neighbours @westspace. Spaces are limited; sign up for this FREE workshop here.
